Energy

Celtic Anglian Water provides generation, distribution, management and optimisation of energy systems on complex industrial, commercial, and municipal water and wastewater treatment sites.

Over 20 years Celtic Anglian Water (CAW) has expanded its capability and built a reputation for generation, distribution, management and optimisation of energy systems on large and complex industrial, commercial, and municipal water and wastewater treatment plants.

Experience.

Through our experience in power generation CAW has gained a clear understanding of our customers sustainability and financial drivers.

We have invested in the resources required to design, build, operate and maintain the energy management systems associated with modern, complex and innovative energy management systems.

Plants managed and operated by CAW generate c.14,000,000m3 of energy rich Biogas annually, which is used to generate c.30,000MWh of electricity in addition to fuelling the steam generating plants on our sites.

Accreditation.

Accredited to ISO 50001, our energy management systems adopt best practice from across the industry including the application of TQM and Lean principles. Our flexible approach to delivering and managing our customer’s assets ensures maximum lifetime asset value for every customer project. Whether a customer operates in the industrial, commercial or municipal sector, CAW works to establish enduring partnerships based on openness and trust.

Long Term Asset Value.

As part of the Anglian Water Group we understand the responsibility of being an asset owner, and the need to maximize lifetime value of an asset. In extending the life cycle of a capital asset – through higher quality construction methods, effective operation and maintenance, constant process optimisation and timely capital maintenance – we can provide significant fiscal and sustainability benefits to our customers.

Commitment to Innovation.

We actively participate in research and development that will help define key aspects of energy management in the future. With ongoing research and development in the areas of wind, solar, and battery storage systems, and with several full-scale test facilities in operation at present, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of future developments within the organisation.

Scale.

Also, as the contracting arm of the Anglian Water Group in Ireland, CAW brings this experience to the market to share and benefit others from the experience of being one of the largest energy users both in Ireland and the UK.
